Sharing the NEWS!

Well - we couldn't wait to share the news with our parents. We know a lot of people wait - to be on the safe side - but we aren't "private" people, so if, god-forbid, something go wrong - we'd be fine sharing that too....

Last night we loaded the boys up in the vehicle to head to my parents house....we told them on the way.

They were both happy - immediately said they wanted us to have a boy...and were excited about it, with a couple questions.

When we got to my parents Dawson handed my mom a picture frame that I had made up with a sign in it that read: Picture to arrive around June, 2011. It took her just a bit to get it and then she screamed "YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!". I think she was pretty excited : ) My dad was happy too!

When my sister got there I gave her a card for her baby (who is currently in her belly - she is about 4 months pregnant)....So, she opened it and the card read along the lines of: Dear Baby R (Baby's last name) - Can't wait to meet you. We're going to be best friends. You'll be the best play mate ever. (there were other similar sentences, and after each one I was getting a stranger and stranger look - she thought I'd lost it!) - I signed it - I will meet you around June 2011. Love, your cousin, Baby W - she got it then! She was excited too.

When we got home we went to Chris' dads and step mom's house - Chris gave Rebecca the same frame we had made for my parents. She kind of looked at it with a "what is this" expression - then looked up and smiled and said "You guys?!" - His dad just told him to get a beer - haha!

Chris called his mom after that....she was happy for us - and knew we had been trying for a while.

With the family told it feels a lot more real. I've been scared it's too soon to tell people - but, you know what, I decided to quit worrying about it - I don't care what other people think about me and if they think it's too soon. I want to celebrate every minute of this pregnancy - why should i have to hold it inside and not celebrate it - it's an exciting thing.....

Now if only my body could feel as excited : )
