I switched doctors. The appointment yesterday just left me feeling - uneasy - for several reasons - and I'm SHARING the place AND reasons - so that if you need an OB doctor in the future you can use this information.
There were a lot of things that just added up yesterday that made the whole appt. a horrible experience. I could have dealt with any ONE of these things - but all of them together is just not acceptable in my opinion.
**They called me an hour before my appt. and asked for me to be there half an hour early
**A nurse and the receptionist were fighting for about 5 minutes while the line grew and they weren't paying any attention to us
** I didn't even see a doctor or a nurse practitioner, but an LPN, which I thought was rude of my doctor to not even stop in
**The LPN left the door open the ENTIRE time she asked me all these personal questions
**She told me to write my questions down because if I called and left a message it could take her 2-3 days to respond
**....AND a couple other minor things, but they just add to the whole experience
This is with Capital Region OBGYN -- Dr. Nolla was my practicing doctor (who didn't, obviously, practice!)
I got a new doctor today - Dr. Jennifer Su - my first appointment is November 24th - and guess what - I GET AN ULTRASOUND that day - when, with my last doctor, I'd get one and only one in February! This is the same doctor my sister and several friends go/have went to - I'm excited!!
That’s awesome!! I know a lot of people who see her. I used to go to Capitol Region OBGYN but after my first follow up doctors apt. my OBGYN retired which I thought was very rude, she should not have taken on a new patient if she was going to be retiring within the next 6 months. Hope everything goes well with your NEW doctor!! Dr. Su's dad (Dr. Felo-idk if that is spelled right) is my doctor now and when/if I get preggo they say I will see Sr. Su. Her dad delievered Chuck which is kinda weird thou!!

ReplyDeleteHe will see you up until you get preggo then Jennifer takes over! It would be neat thou if he did since he delievered Chuck, not many kids can say that the Doctor that delievered them also delievered there parents! LOL

ReplyDeleteEmily - I have heard great things about her and her dad! I don't think her dad takes OB patients anymore - but my sister and several friends go to her and love her! I can't wait!!!!
